Wow! What a weekend of fun was had for our birthday cyber crop event over on our Facebook group (Twilight Crop and Craft). We had a series of 8 challenges which included three live scrapalongs! This weekend long event brought together the crafting community to share projects and be inspired by one another. The challenges are open until midnight on Sunday 5th September.
Our first live event was on Friday 13th August and Debbie I used the birthday scrapbooking kit which is still available on our website. I worked on a couple of mixed media backgrounds and Debbie showed us how the kit can be used to back mini Cutfiles for the 4x4 inch mini albums by Paige Evans. These little albums are so versatile and can hold so many photos to document special memories.
Our next live event was with the super talented Cal Summers from Paper, Scissors, Story. We enjoyed the live craft along, learning how to make a brag book. We’ve seen some wonderful makes in the challenge album, with a chance to win a mini book kit from Cal! If you aren’t already a member, head over to the Paper, Scissors, Story Facebook group for more amazing virtual mini book classes with Cal.
The Mini Book Challenge!
Our third live event was on Saturday night with the one and only Scrappy Adam from Dotty About Flair. Adam showed us how to make a shaker pocket with a Jennywren Cutfile. We are now all hooked on adding sequins (and maybe some glitter!) to make a shaker pocket on our layouts! Adam offered an amazing signature box of flair from the July release! Be sure to check out the Dotty About Flair Facebook page for more flair, challenges and a wonderful crafting community.
The Shaker Pocket Challenge!
For the shaker pocket challenge, I used some art crayons and distress oxides for a mixed media background and use the balloon cutfile to make the shaker pocket. I added some sequins and couldn’t resist a bit of glitter for something a bit extra!
We had 8 challenges and some wonderful prizes including shop vouchers, stamps, stencils, flair, mini book kits and some special prizes from Kate Crane including access to one of her online classes from her Etsy shop, the Kathryn Wheel! We love Kate’s designs and we stock some of her gorgeous stamps.

The Challenges! (Open until 31st August 2021)
Finally, we had a total surprise from our team member and queen of social media, Cheryl. She had contacted Paige Taylor Evans who had designed a wonderful, exclusive cutfile for Twilight as a free download! We were so chuffed to have this support from Paige! you can get the free cutfile here.
Thank you to everyone who supported this event to celebrate Twilight Crafts birthday and our crop events!
